U.S. markers end the day yesterday mixed on the Federal Reserves’ extension to year end for Operation Twist and the lowering of GDP forecast. Futures today are suggesting continued red ahead of the bell.
Today’s economic calendar is jammed packed. Kicking off the calendar is the Labor Department’s weekly look at initial jobless claims fell slight more than analysts’ expectations - down by 2,000 to 387,000 for week ending June 16. Expectations were for a decline of 1,000 jobless claims.
National Realtor Association reports May exiting homes at 10am ET. Analysts are looking for 1.5 drop in annual rate. The Philly Fed index is also reporting at 10am ET with the expectation of -2.3 for June.
At 10:30am ET, the Energy Department will release weekly natural gas inventories.
