Breaking News – U.S. Initial Claims for State Unemployment Benefits
Even though Initial claims for state unemployment benefits ticked lower by 3,000 claims or seasonally adjusted 382,000 according to the U.S. Labor Department. The number of unemployed American’s filing new claims continues to hover near 2 month highs for last week’s unemployment claims.
Today’s report also revised the prior week’s unemployment claims up by 3,000 additional claims suggesting the U.S. labor force continues to weaken and people continue to struggle to find jobs.
