Nature and Man's ideas can be amazingly beautiful, overwhelming, and sometimes disastrous.
Today, many climate gurus, including the Pope, Al Gore and bankers (LOL) have been raising the subject on a 24/7 basis as if this hasn't been a subject that has been discussed and argued about for centuries.
Man has been studying nature and the stars forever looking to predict the next storm or comet with the eye of either trying to harness for productive means like electricity, (thanks to Ben Franklin, and Tesla etc.) or instill doom and gloom. History is filled with end timers, egotists and authoritarian regimes that usually find themselves and their ideas extinguished over the test of time.
Older generations view life through historical lenses, sometimes with poignant thoughts and helpful ideas. Other times their memories of past eras’ are shaded by self-importance and forgetfulness, not clear or accurate leading to advice and guidance that is pessimistic and restrained. Dammed up so to speak.
El Nino is coming, at least that is what the data is showing. Living in California, suffering through a rough drought, the approaching El Nino will be welcomed. If I was Governor for the day, I would be looking to plan for it and how to take advantage of this natural blessing.
From the beginning of time , those leaders who were bold enough to make decisions, understand nature and man's ideas, and try to harness these into a workable solutions are revered. They knew that neither man nor nature could be enslaved. Having a positive view of the future helps while understanding the past. I find many of today's vocalists to be filled with their own hubris.
Nature and life are dynamic, I wish more governments were. Investors, have more choices today than ever and should avail themselves of all of them, digital, paper and physical. I have posted on many of these ideas in the past, including some ideas about the bright future and how to take advantage of that. Need some detailed outlooks, send me a note. Change is here and it presents opportunity. Fear is not an option.
